Vesper Adest
A multi-movement work for SATB chorus, flute, and piano four-hands.
This secular work from 1990, set to poetic text in Latin and English by Andrea Moorhead, was commissioned by Deerfield Academy and premiered by the Deerfield Academy Chorus, the composer conducting. In 1991, Vesper Adest won the Virginia Choral Society's 60th Anniversary Choral Competition. The performance here, a recording of the premiere, is from the Deerfield Academy CD recording Vesper Adest: The Evening Star Rises.
